Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen have secured the title of 2009 49er World Champions! Congratulations to all competitors for great competition and Fraglia dela Riva for hosting! Video link Final Day Video link Day 5 Video link Day 4 Day 3 Morrison and Rhodes are tied with fellow GBR teammates John Pink and Rick Peacock with 21 points. Friday begins the finals with sailors split into 3 fleets. Video link Day 3 Day 2 Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes rolled into the lead after 6 races. 3 more races are scheduled for Thursday to finish the qualifying series. Video link Day 2 Day 1 Brits Dave Evans and Simon Hiscocks have taken the early lead of the 87 boat fleet. Sent out in 3 flights, the sailors encountered lighter winds of 15-18 increasing in the afternoon to 20. Evans/Hiscocks have a tight group behind them with only 4 points separating to top 5 boats. 3 more races are planned for tomorrow. Video link Day 1
